This is a very nice custom contemporary Flintlock Longrifle in .40 Caliber by CLA maker L.J. Gardner. The rifle features a small Siler Lock and a swamped 42 inch long Rice barrel with round bottom rifling. The barrel mounted rear sight is flat topped and the front sight is a blade. The furniture is brass with nice engraving. Of special note is the Iron Tipped Brass Buttplate. Other features are Double Set Triggers and the Fancy Maple Stock. The rifle weighs approximately 8 1/4 pounds. The condition of the blued barrel is about 99% and the wood and bore condition are excellent. The Possibles Bag and the Powder Horn are included with the rifle. This is a great rifle for hunting or competition. Call for details.
