Very rare Colt "Baby" Burgess Rifle. Colt only made a total of 6,403 Burgess models in Rifle, Standard Carbine and Baby Carbine variants. The baby carbine represnts only small percentage of total production. Baby Carbines were a lightened version of the Standard Carbine with a lighter weight barrel profile, thinner receiver and several lightened parts. They weigh barely more than five pounds and are a pound lighter than the standard Burgess carbine. This one's been well used with little finish but not abused. The bore is rough but shoots very well with lead bullets. Featured and fired on an episode of "The Cinnabar" YouTube channel.
